Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and Singer (born in New York City on 22 November 1984) - Her versatility as an actress has brought her much acclaim in everything from the dramas of the past to suspenseful films and adventures. Johansson was born in New York City, and lived there with her father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. As a child she was able to begin acting. In fact, by the age of 7 She had auditioned for several commercials. Then she began her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later went to the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further refine her skills. She made her debut as a film actress in North (1994) when she was nine. She was just eight when she starred alongside Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson starred next in Just Cause (1995), after which she made her debut in the film Manny & Lo - a story about two sisters, orphans that get away. The Horse Whisperer (1998) Johansson's role, which is a teenaged girl with disfigurement, was hailed by reviewers. Then she was hailed for her role as the cynical teenage Rebecca In Ghost World. The award-winning actress has been among the principal characters on the series. The actress is also an accomplished stage performer. Her performances were stunning in Wildflower as well as other stage productions. Renee Felice Smith entered the world of entertainment when she was very young. She was drawn to acting as a young child. Smith got her first acting gig at the young age of six, with her parents' support. She starred in a TV commercial for Dannon yogurt. Similar to other novice actresses the actress honed her talents on stage. She would work in different USA productions while performing on stage with Wildflower. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
