Nancy Kovack played Medea the epic action/fantasy film Jason and the Argonauts. Her character was memorable to males in my age group. Oddly, her screen time is more limited than we remember now in this production, but nobody questions that her sexy dance number will be a hit. On top of the list, it's been reported that her vocal performance was overdubbed by soon to be Bondgirl Honor Blackman. Maybe because she needed an elegant British accent? I adore these vintage films where everybody talks Shakespearian... But regardless, Nancy Kovack was instantly famous on film and TV screens, mostly because of her unbelievable cheekbones and smouldering eye. There's no doubt that she didn't have any problem with touching shoulders, as in for instance, with Tarzan as well as Batman. Even The Three Stooges. Nancy Kovack was a very intriguing woman. Her characters' solid determination? Her fabulous body? Nancy admitted that, because of some reason, she had never wanted to be a movie celebrity. She preferred roles as a supporting actor. Her career span of 15 years was filled with gems and surprising surprises.
